When is the best time to book my session?

You can view my availability on my booking link, or send me a direct message with booking questions that are specific to your session type. I will adjust my availability as my schedule fills. Graduating seniors should start reserving their sessions in February. Summer/Fall sessions fill up quickly so book early!

How long will my session last?

Your session time will be dependent on session type. Family sessions typically last 45min-1 hour. I allow margin as needed. Extended family sessions will be 1.5-2 hours. Senior sessions 2-3 hours (location dependent) Events/Weddings: as booked.

How do I prepare for my session?

Make sure you get good rest the night prior. Do not over schedule your day prior to your session. Have your clothing pressed and lint free. If you plan to have outfit changes have your clothing hung on hangers. We will discuss which outfit to wear first but typically the one that will wrinkle the least while driving to location. Bring along a water bottle, snack for littles if needed hairbrush/spray , lipgloss, and any props you want to highlight in session.

How do you handle payments and retainers?

A non-refundable retainer will be collected at the time of booking to secure your session. For most sessions, full remaining payment will be due on or before the day of the session.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

There shall be no refund of the retainer after the signing of your agreement and booking your photography session date. If the session is canceled within two weeks of the scheduled date, the client shall pay the remaining amount of balance of the contract due to the high probability the photographer will no longer be able to fill that date. Once the balance is paid, it is non refundable. Any other arrangements should be discussed between the client and photographer. All arrangements will be put in writing. Cancellations will be put in writing.

I ask that my clients keep their scheduled date if at all possible, however I understand that in life things happen. If a session needs to be rescheduled and it is more than two weeks out, the retainer can be applied to the new session date if scheduled within 60 days from original date.

What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

We will be in contact during the week leading up to your scheduled shoot and will always watch the weather. If we are unable to proceed with your session due to weather, we will reschedule according to my availability and will always do my best to accommodate you as my client.

How long after my session will I receive my photos?

This answer is somewhat dependent on the type of session and season of your session. A standard answer is 4-6 weeks for families, headshots, and senior sessions, 14-16 weeks for weddings/events. I will provide an estimate to you at your session so you have an appropriate expectation on when you will receive your finished product.

Do you provide prints or additional print products that can be ordered and/or print rights?

Yes and yes! I offer a variety of products for purchase from a professional print lab. I appreciate you ordering your products from me as I am confident my print lab will provide you with the best representation of my work. You invested in a quality product and the finished work should always represent that investment. NOTE: I hold copyright to my images. You will receive a quoted number of digital downloadable images with your purchase of your session. You have the option to purchase your full gallery for an additional fee. With the digital download you also have printing rights to those images.

How do you handle editing or retouching?

My photography is my art and will reflect my art/style. I use a variety of different editing styles selected intentionally for the setting, lighting, color tones, and feel of your images. You will likely see a variety in your finished product. If you find that you love a photo and would like to see that image in a different edit from your gallery- ask! I will edit out blemishes, scrapes, cuts, etc... If you have a specific request just message me. Additional fees could apply (i.e. excessive acne removal in all images)
